I have over 25 years experience helping individuals increase their comfort and life enjoyment. My areas of expertise include; anxiety, pain and stress reduction, compassion stress release for professional helpers, living well with MS and other medical diagnoses and alleviating addictive behaviors. I have training in numerous anxiety, stress and pain reduction and wellness enhancing techniques; hypnosis, EMDR, Imagery, mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral interventions and Somatic Experiencing.
Currently, I am Chair of the California Psychological Association CARE Program, a member of the Clinical Advisory Committee of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Northern California Chapter and an Adjunct Faculty at California School of Professional Psychology. I am also a past President of the San Francisco Psychological Association and a member of the Red Cross Disater Mental Health team.

I was awarded a National Institute ofMental Health Graduate Training Fellowship and later received a Fulbright Doctoral Fellowship, which allowed me to conduct cross-cultural research on emotional resilience. I am currently a member of the San Francisco Psychological Association, California Psychological Association, and American Psychological Association.
